Overview
Veeco is seeking an experienced Product Applications Engineer to support our global MOCVD customer base in arsenic-phosphide based semiconductor materials and devices. In this customer-facing technical role, you will apply hands-on expertise in III-V epitaxy, MOCVD reactor operation, process development, and materials characterization to help customers achieve application and production goals.
This is a high-impact role for an Engineer who can independently resolve a wide range of technical issues, exercise sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques, and collaborate effectively with internal and external technical stakeholders. You will work at the intersection of customer success, process technology, and product development, helping translate customer needs into process solutions and future product improvements.
In this role, you will execute process demonstrations for new system installations at customer facilities, operate MOCVD equipment, characterize As/P-based materials, and support achievement of system startup and process performance goals. You will partner with customers to troubleshoot process optimization, epitaxial performance, reactor behavior, and process-to-hardware interactions. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to applications development for As/P-related materials used in microLED, datacom, and telecom applications, while feeding customer insights back into Veeco’s future product roadmap.
This role is critical to helping customers successfully adopt Veeco’s MOCVD technology for advanced compound semiconductor applications. Your work will directly influence customer success, process capability, and future product development.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with customer development and production teams to understand materials, epitaxy process, and device performance objectives, and translate those objectives into practical MOCVD process support plans.
