• AI-driven customer support across chat, email, SMS, and voice, as well as a proprietary CRM platform built for efficiency and quality at scale.

• 360° vehicle photography and interactive merchandising using cutting-edge computer vision and AI.

• The most sophisticated self-service automotive lending platform in the world; a full fintech stack.

• Systems and tools behind a nationwide logistics network that has delivered and picked up over 3 million cars via our fully owned and operated fleet, reaching 90% of US driveways.

• Enterprise-grade systems for operating the largest vehicle reconditioning facilities in the US, with workflow automation covering everything mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic.

• Early adoption and customization of AI tools to optimize developer efficiency and experience.

And much, much more…

About the teams and positions

Our Product team is at the center of that growth, and we are hiring. We are an AI-first technology organization that moves fast, operates with high ownership, and builds things that matter at scale. If you want to grow not just as a Product Manager but as a leader and business-builder, Carvana is the place for you.

We are hiring Product Managers across several teams in Los Angeles (Playa Vista) and Phoenix, spanning associate, mid-senior, and leadership roles. While each team has its own focus area, we look for the same foundational qualities across all of them: strong product instincts, a data-driven mindset, an AI-first approach to work, and the drive to own outcomes end to end.

The Teams

Depending on your background and interests, you may be considered for one or more of the following teams:

• Inventory: This team supports our network of more than 150 Inspection Centers (ICs). Its scope spans reconditioning workflow and throughput, labor forecasting and utilization, vehicle quality standards, and parts management and spend. You'll work closely with IC General Managers and their operations teams to define and solve problems that affect the entire reconditioning network. These are hands-on, floor-facing product roles: you'll spend meaningful time inside Inspection Centers, watching lines run, talking to technicians and shop leadership, and using what you learn to shape the software and processes that support them.

• Transactions, Ancillary Products, and Finance: This team focuses on our site experience and drives conversion through our checkout funnel. You'll help own our most-watched metrics on the site, including trades, finance, warranty, pickup and delivery selection, and insurance.

• Nurture: This AI-first team leads nurture communications, guiding customers from early interest through purchase using machine learning, personalization, and experimentation across email, SMS, and push.

What you’ll be doing

While responsibilities vary by team, all roles share a common set of expectations:

• Drive the product roadmap and lead end-to-end product development informed by customer research, analytics, and business needs.

• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Analytics, and business stakeholders to scope, prioritize, and ship high-impact initiatives.

• Own experimentation and measurement, actively interpreting results and translating insights into continuous product improvements.

• Apply AI tools as a core part of how you work, accelerating research, synthesis, prototyping, and day-to-day execution.

• Write clear requirements, project briefs, and documentation to align stakeholders and enable effective engineering execution.

• Use data to size opportunities, evaluate tradeoffs, and make decisions.

• Take full ownership of your product area and be accountable for the long-term trajectory of key business outcomes such as sales, gross profit, customer satisfaction, and cost per unit sold.

What you should have/know

• A bachelor's degree in STEM, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.

• Two or more years of product, product analytics, or related experience for mid-level consideration; four or more years for senior-level consideration.

• Outcome-oriented and data-driven decision making, backed by expertise in metrics, analytics, and tools such as SQL, Tableau, Looker, or Sigma.

• An AI-first approach to product work, with hands-on experience using AI tools for research, analysis, prototyping, and day-to-day productivity.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and project management skills with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to learn and absorb technical concepts and communicate them effectively to non-technical audiences.

• Deep product experience at one or more highly successful and ideally high-growth companies.

• Strong opinions about consumer products and a developed sense of product taste.

• Experience with experiment design and interpretation.

• A willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes for the sake of the team and our customers.

• Self-motivated with a sense of humor and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambitious environment.

It would be great if you also have

• A genuine passion for AI and its potential to transform product experiences, not just familiarity with the tools but a curiosity about where the technology is headed and how to apply it creatively.

• Demonstrated ability in designing, building, and deploying enterprise software solutions, with particular experience in areas such as industrial plant design, process management platforms, and automotive or supply chain manufacturing.

• Knowledge of data science best practices and the ability to collaborate closely with data scientists and ML engineers to shape model-informed product decisions.
