The Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts is seeking skilled Structural Engineers and Engineering Associates to design and support essential infrastructure that protects public health and serves millions of residents. In this role, you’ll lead structural design efforts for wastewater, solid waste, and collection system facilities; perform complex analyses; conduct site inspections; and collaborate with civil, architectural, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform professional structural engineering work and coordinate progressively more complex projects in a variety of engineering disciplines including civil, architectural, electrical, and mechanical engineering disciplines.

Under the general supervision of a Supervising Engineer, the incumbent will:
- Design and prepare plans, specifications and engineering calculations for administrative, wastewater treatment, collection systems, and solid waste facilities
- Provide design support during construction of capital projects
- Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of work for engineering projects
- Drive to various sites for inspections or meetings
- Participate in reviewing or evaluating the work of others such as consultants, vendors or temporary agency workers on a project basis
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess all of the following:
- A valid California Class C driver license
-AND- ENGINEERING ASSOCIATE II LEVEL:
- Option 1: A bachelor's degree and master’s degree both in a pertinent engineering discipline from an accredited and recognized college or university
- Option 2: A bachelor's degree from an accredited and recognized college or university in a related science with an Engineer-In-Training Certificate and a master's degree from an accredited and recognized college or university in a pertinent engineering discipline
