Full description
PYTHON BACKEND DEVELOPER | SANDTON | R800K PAPYTHON. AI. APIS. REAL PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY.
Want to build backend technology that actually powers live AI?
This is an opportunity to join a specialist AI division building voice and text AI agents that are already operating in production.
Now they're scaling the technology, expanding integrations and building the next generation of AI powered customer experiences.
THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL BACKEND ROLE
You’ll be building the APIs and integration layers connecting AI to the real world.
You’ll work across:
- Telephony platforms
- Internal and external APIs
Your code will sit underneath AI driven customer interactions, connecting the platforms and services that make the ecosystem work.
WHY THIS ENVIRONMENT IS COOL
This team sits at the intersection of AI, software engineering, voice technology, automation and data.
The technology is already live and being used in real operations.
The environment is modern, with Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, API first architecture and real time telephony all forming part of the technology landscape.
Even the engineering workflow is different. Claude Code and Cursor are part of the development environment, alongside GitHub based engineering practices.
You’ll work closely with technical architects and experienced engineering leads in a small team where engineers have genuine ownership and actually ship.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- C# and .NET
NICE TO HAVE
- Midcore or collections platform integration
- Telephony or payment integrations
- AI or conversational technology experience
THE PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’re a Backend Developer who enjoys solving integration problems and building reliable systems.
You understand APIs, backend architecture and how to make different platforms work together.
You’re also curious about AI and want to apply your engineering skills to technology that is already being deployed in the real world.
This is production AI, not a proof of concept.
