We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join an enterprise product engineering team. The role will focus on building and modernizing backend applications, APIs, data-processing services, and automation capabilities using Python.
The developer will work within an Agile engineering squad and use AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and modernization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and backend services.
- Build REST APIs, microservices, integration components, and data-processing workflows.
- Write clean, modular, maintainable code with automated unit and integration tests.
- Work with relational databases, including data modeling and SQL development.
- Integrate services with enterprise applications, APIs, messaging platforms, and data sources.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Follow secure coding, source control, CI/CD, and release-management practices.
- Contribute to application modernization and technical-debt reduction.
AI-Assisted Development
- Use approved AI coding assistants as part of day-to-day engineering.
- Apply AI assistance for code generation, refactoring, debugging, unit testing, documentation, and code understanding.
- Review and validate AI-generated code before incorporating it into the application.
- Use AI tools to accelerate analysis and modernization of existing applications.
- Follow organizational security, privacy, and data-handling requirements when using AI tools.
