You’ll be one of the first senior hires in their new UK engineering base, working alongside top-tier engineers across the UK, US, and Europe to develop the next generation of their backend systems.
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Python/Django Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems. You’ll take ownership of features end-to-end, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs using best practices and TDD.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver robust features.
- Participate in architectural discussions and influence key technical decisions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, implementing long-term fixes.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure strong observability practices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to solve complex challenges.
- 5+ years developing customer-facing web/software applications.
- Strong Python and Django experience.
- Proven ability to build and maintain RESTful APIs using TDD.
- Solid understanding of version control (Git) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in distributed teams.
