Position Summary: UMGC We are seeking a versatile QA Analyst & Automation Specialist with a strong foundation in both manual and automated testing to join our dynamic quality assurance team. This hybrid role combines hands-on automation expertise with business-facing analytical skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality SaaS and integrated applications. The ideal candidate will be proactive, technically adept, and collaborative across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and review business and technical requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and testability.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright (TypeScript) and Java-based frameworks for UI and API validation.
- Execute functionality, integration, regression, and performance testing across SaaS platforms and backend systems.
- Support and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders, including demos and walkthroughs.
- Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and feedback.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, validate backend data using SQL, and ensure compliance with OpenAPI/Swagger
- Create and execute performance testing using JMeter for both UI and APIs.
- Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating closely with development and product teams for resolution.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test documentation.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to evolving QA processes and best practices.
- Evaluate and implement new automation and AI tools to enhance productivity and test coverage.
