Quality Assurance Lead - Automation & API Testing

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead with strong expertise in test automation, API testing, CI/CD, and FinTech/Payments to lead quality engineering initiatives for a technology-driven financial product.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead QA strategy, planning, execution, and delivery across product releases.

• Design and maintain robust automation frameworks for web/API applications.

• Develop and execute API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Define test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and quality metrics.

• Identify, track, and manage defects throughout the SDLC.

• Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders.

• Review automation code and establish QA coding and testing standards.

• Drive regression, functional, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.

• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation, and release quality.

• Mentor and guide QA engineers and contribute to building a strong quality culture.

• Ensure testing processes align with FinTech/Payments product requirements.

Required Skills :

• 7 - 10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.

• Strong hands-on experience in Test Automation.

• Strong experience in API Testing and REST APIs.

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.

• Strong programming/scripting experience in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or equivalent.

• Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.

• Strong understanding of SQL and database testing.

• Good knowledge of Git and modern software development practices.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Strong understanding of QA processes, test methodologies, and defect management.

Mandatory Domain Experience :

• FinTech / Payments experience is mandatory.

• Candidates should have hands-on experience testing financial products, payment platforms, transaction processing, banking/financial workflows, payment gateways, wallets, cards, or related systems.

Preferred :

• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
