Most of your day will be spent performing manual dimensional inspections using precision tools such as Pi Tape, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and visual inspection equipment. You’ll also work with advanced systems such as CMM and Keyence, depending on experience.
You’ll collaborate closely with Production and Quality teams to support compliance, containment, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role reports to the Quality Manager and is on‑site in San Carlos, CA.
What You’ll Do
- Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components
- Conduct in‑process and final inspections to verify conformance to drawings and specifications
- Use manual inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and Pi Tape
- Operate CMM and/or Keyence systems (based on experience)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and basic GD&T
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records
- Identify, segregate, and support disposition of non‑conforming material
- Assist with containment activities and corrective actions as needed
- Work closely with Production and Quality teams to maintain product compliance
- Maintain focus and consistency while performing repetitive inspection tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of quality and operational objectives
