Join a Growing Family Business Where Your Success is Rewarded

Are you a natural relationship builder with the drive to win new business? Do you enjoy meeting people, creating opportunities and turning conversations into long-term customers?

At Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd, we're looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic sales professional to help grow our Waste Management division across Bristol and Gloucestershire. Whether you're already working in sales or looking to take the next step in your commercial career, we want to hear from people with the right attitude, energy and determination to succeed.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the South West's leading family-owned businesses, where you'll have the freedom to develop your territory, earn commission and make a real impact.

Who Are We?

Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd has been proudly family-owned and operated since 1982. What started as a single owner-operated plant hire company has grown into a successful, multi-service business operating across the South West.

Today, we specialise in:

• Waste Management

• Construction

• Plant Hire

• Demolition

• Transport

With depots in Avonmouth, Cardiff, Gloucester, Stonehouse, Tewkesbury and Wantage, our family values remain at the heart of everything we do.

The Opportunity

As a Regional Sales Executive, you'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities and growing existing customer relationships across Bristol and Gloucestershire.

You'll spend your time out meeting customers, identifying opportunities, presenting solutions and helping businesses manage their waste more effectively. Full support will be provided, so we're more interested in your sales ability, motivation and enthusiasm than the number of years you've spent in the industry.

A company electric vehicle or car allowance will be provided, depending on your preference.

What You'll Be Doing

• Generating and converting new business opportunities across your region

• Building long-term relationships with customers and prospects

• Identifying customer requirements and presenting tailored waste management solutions

• Managing and developing existing accounts to maximise opportunities

• Keeping up to date with market trends

• Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and customer records within our CRM system

• Working closely with operational teams to ensure excellent customer service

• Consistently working towards and exceeding sales targets

What We're Looking For

• A confident and motivated salesperson who enjoys winning new business

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• A proactive, self-driven approach to work

• Strong negotiation and closing skills

• The ability to identify opportunities and turn them into results

• A full UK driving licence

• Experience in sales is beneficial, but attitude, drive and determination are more important than industry experience

What You'll Receive

• Competitive salary

• Uncapped commission structure

• Company electric car or car allowance

• Life Assurance Scheme

• Additional Annual Leave with Length of Service

• Free on-site parking

• Corporate gym membership discount

• Annual salary review

• Employee discounts, including 50% off skip hire and discounts across Smiths Group services

• Career progression opportunities within a growing business

• 24/7 access to professional mental health support
