THE OPPORTUNITY
Silvus is seeking a RF Test Engineer who will report to the Director of RF Engineering on the RF Engineering team. The successful individual in this role will actively participate in all aspects of the design process to develop the RF subsystem for Silvus’ StreamCaster MANET product line.
This position is 100% onsite, Monday through Friday, at our office in Rancho Bernardo/North San Diego, CA.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Using RF test equipment to evaluate system performance, evaluate compliance compatibility and troubleshoot operation issues.

Carry out RF test execution and generate status and test reports.

Define verification matrix and internal specifications of RF performance.

Review test result data to ensure that actual performance meets expected requirements.

Review and recommend improvements to existing test strategies.

Recommend new test techniques and technologies to ensure system performance.

Design test fixtures and calibrate test equipment.

Understand proper use and handling of sensitive RF circuits and equipment.

Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.
