Sales Consultant

Shipley Legacy Group is hiring licensed life insurance agents to sell remotely. This is a remote, work-from-home position open to candidates in Mukilteo, WA. You'll represent a portfolio of direct carrier appointments with no production quotas set by the agency, giving you the freedom to build a practice around client needs.

What you'll do

• Reach out to people who have already expressed interest in coverage and schedule remote appointments by phone or video
• Learn each client's situation — their family, budget, and goals — before presenting any option
• Quote across multiple carriers and walk clients through the differences between coverage choices in plain terms
• Complete applications together with clients using carrier e-app and quoting platforms
• Follow each case through underwriting and keep clients informed while their application is pending
• Log conversations, follow-up tasks, and case status in the agency CRM as work happens
• Draw on scripts, call reviews, and a weekly team call available through Shipley Legacy Group
• Stay current on carrier guidelines, product updates, and the compliance standards that govern your state license

Qualifications

• Active state life insurance license — required before placing any business
• Hands-on experience with at least one life insurance product line: term, whole life, final expense, or similar
• Comfortable navigating carrier portals, quoting tools, and web-based CRM platforms
• Disciplined follow-up habits and experience managing your own case pipeline from application to issue
• Able to explain policy terms and underwriting requirements clearly to clients who are not industry insiders
• Reliable computer, dedicated phone, and consistent internet for 100% remote work
• Self-directed — you manage your own schedule and hold yourself accountable to your activity

What we provide

• Direct carrier appointments across multiple carriers through Shipley Legacy Group — no agency-imposed production minimums
• 1:1 mentorship and underwriting advocacy available when a case needs it
• Scripts, call reviews, and a weekly team call available to every agent on the team
• Free ongoing training across product lines and carriers — not a one-time onboarding
• A 17-agent team with six years in business, founded by Anissa and Joe Shipley after personal losses showed them how much coverage gaps cost real families

CompensationThis is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity with Shipley Legacy Group. Compensation is commission-based. No salary or hourly pay is provided.
