Sales Development Manager

Industrial B2B Sales Leadership | Field-Based Role

##

About the role

NCH Lubrication is continuing to invest in growth and is expanding its field sales team across Australia. We're looking for an experienced Sales Development Manager who is passionate about sales, enjoys developing people, and leads by example.

This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on selling with leadership development. Initially spending time in the field learning our business from what industries we work with, our product range as well as our sales approach. Once established, you'll transition into a leadership role where you'll coach and develop a team of Sales Representatives to accelerate their performance.

If you've built success in B2B field sales and have experience leading, mentoring, coaching, or managing people, we'd love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of field sales representatives
• Conduct regular field coaching and ride-alongs
• Help salespeople improve prospecting, pipeline management, and closing skills
• Develop strategies to increase customer acquisition and account growth
• Drive accountability, activity levels, and sales performance
• Teach value-based selling and consultative sales techniques
• Support the development of future sales leaders

What we're looking for

You are a proven B2B sales professional who has consistently achieved results in a field-based sales environment. You enjoy helping others succeed and have experience leading, mentoring, coaching, or managing people. You'll ideally bring:

• Strong B2B field sales experience
• Experience in sales leadership, coaching, mentoring or people management
• A track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to influence, motivate and develop others
• High levels of resilience, accountability and commercial acumen
• Experience positioning value rather than competing on price

What we offer

• Leadership role with a clear pathway into building a high-performing sales team
• Opportunity to influence the future growth of the business
• Extensive product, sales and leadership training
• Autonomy, support and ongoing professional development
• Established brand with a strong reputation in industrial markets
• Competitive salary package plus performance incentives

We understand that candidates will not meet every single desired job requirement. If your experience looks a little different from what we’ve identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we’d love to learn more about you.
