Sales Development Representative

Compensation: $52k – $104k • No equity

HOW TO APPLY: do not apply on this site, including Wellfound's own Apply button. We will not see it. Apply at https://jotpsych.com/careers-sdr?utm_source=sdr-wellfound (a phone voicemail and a short form, on purpose).

JotPsych makes software for behavioral health clinicians. Our scribe has drafted more than 3.1 million patient notes and reduces administrative time by about 90%. We're now expanding from the note into the full revenue cycle: billing, audit, prior-auth. We need someone working the phones to fill the top of that pipeline.

THE ROLE

Make calls, qualify leads, and follow up with behavioral health providers.

WHAT YOU'D OWN

• Outbound prospecting. Calls, emails, and LinkedIn messages to behavioral health providers.

• Lead qualification. Listen closely, ask sharp questions, surface pain points. Capture clean notes in the CRM.

• Pipeline building. Hit weekly meeting targets. Spot patterns. Test new customer segments and outreach approaches.

• Team collaboration. Share call results and improve outreach scripts with the team.

EXAMPLE WORK

• Call clinics to introduce JotPsych and learn about their needs

• Test a new call script and report results

• Run follow-ups for providers who trialed JotPsych but didn't convert

• Jump on inbound leads as they come in (first touch matters)

WHO YOU PROBABLY ARE

• 3 to 5 years of sales, customer-facing, or phone-heavy experience. Internships count.

• Empathetic listener, confident communicator. You can build rapport on a 5 minute cold call.

• Resilient. "No" doesn't throw you off. You're back on the phone the next minute.

• Organized. You keep follow-ups organized.

• Comfortable with the basics. CRMs (HubSpot or Salesforce), Google Workspace.

• Curious about healthcare. Interest in behavioral health is a plus.

WHO YOU'RE PROBABLY NOT

• Someone who needs a fixed schedule and a manager checking in hourly to perform.

• Someone who treats rejection as a reason to slow down for the day.

• Someone who wants a role where face-time matters more than output.

LOGISTICS

• United States only. New York City preferred: if you live in New York City, you work from our Brooklyn Navy Yard office. If you live elsewhere in the United States, you work remote.

• 25 to 40 hours per week, including weekday availability to reach clinicians.

• On-target earnings: $50+/hour (base plus performance bonuses).

• Occasional travel for onboarding or team gatherings.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply on the job page: https://jotpsych.com/careers-sdr?utm_source=sdr-wellfound

Two steps, both on that page: a phone voicemail and a short form. No resume. The voicemail is your audition.

From there: a 15 minute phone interview, a pitch challenge where you cold-call a member of our team to pitch a product (not JotPsych), and three professional references. We move quickly and we tell you where you stand at every step.
