Sales Development Specialist

At Pivot + Edge, we’re not your typical recruitment agency. We’re rethinking how recruitment gets done. We support mission-driven companies attract, engage, and hire top talent without the agency fluff or inflated fees.

We’ve built a best-in-class process and strategy that changes how companies think about recruiting. And we’re just getting started.

We’re looking for a Business Development Partner who thrives on the chase; someone with a hunter mindset who’s motivated by growth, thrives on autonomy, and is ready to disrupt an industry that’s long overdue for a shake-up.

What You’ll Do

• Own the hunt: Identify, engage, and convert startups and scaling businesses that need a smarter way to hire.

• Create opportunities: Build and execute bold outreach strategies — personalized campaigns, creative pitches, partnerships, and events that get attention.

• Collaborate to close: Work closely with our marketing and delivery teams to turn leads into long-term partnerships.

• Be the face of Pivot + Edge: Represent us at industry events, founder meetups, and ecosystem gatherings across Ontario (occasional travel + evening events expected).

• Think like a founder: Bring ideas, test strategies, and iterate fast. You’ll have the freedom to experiment and the support to make it happen.

• Strategize and create: Bring new lead gen campaign ideas to the table and execute. Think video content, LinkedIn ads and more.

What We’re Looking For

• A hunter, not a farmer: You live for the thrill of closing new business.

• In it for the long haul: Our sales cycle isn’t quick but it’s worth it. You’re willing to build and maintain relationships knowing that every sale starts with a conversation.

• Entrepreneurial energy: You can turn an idea into action and don’t wait to be told what to do.

• Resilient and resourceful: You know how to handle rejection, pivot fast, and keep moving.

• Passionate about disruption: You want to help redefine what hiring looks like for startups.

• Event-driven connector: Comfortable representing the brand and building relationships in person.

• You’re looking for growth: This is your opportunity to shape a sales playbook. Develop a strategy and build it.

• You want to build your network: This is a social role, posting on LinkedIn, attending events and more.
