About AB World Foods

We're famous for flavour. As part of Associated British Foods (ABF), one of the world's largest diversified food and retail groups, we're proud to bring exciting flavours from around the world to millions of consumers every year. Our parent company operates in 56 countries, employs over 138,000 people and generates annual sales of £19.5 billion.

But what truly makes us special is our people. We share ideas, help each other solve problems and take pride in what we achieve together - all part of making AB World Foods a great place to work, grow and develop.

About the Role

Ever wondered how household brands earn their place on supermarket shelves? It's not by chance. Behind every shelf layout, promotional campaign and product launch are teams working closely with retailers, understanding shopper behaviour and making commercial decisions that help brands grow.

At AB World Foods, you'll gain first-hand experience of exactly how that happens and have the opportunity to contribute to those decisions. Join the team behind some of the UK's most loved food brands, including Patak's, Blue Dragon, Levi Roots, Al'Fez, TABASCO® and Capsicana, and discover a career where every day brings new challenges, new opportunities and real responsibility from day one.

You’ll gain commercial experience through placements in areas including Sales (Account Management), Category and Shopper Marketing. From analysing trends and developing customer recommendations to supporting promotional plans and marketing campaigns, you'll work on real commercial challenges and contribute to projects that make a genuine impact.

Who thrives here?

We’re looking for people who are curious about our brands, customers and shoppers, and keen to get involved. You don’t need to know the grocery industry inside out, but you’ll enjoy this programme if you:

• Take ownership: you get things started, follow through on commitments and keep going when things don’t go to plan, learning as you go.

• Enjoy working at pace: you like having different things to get stuck into, can adapt when priorities change and care about getting the detail right.

• Stay curious: you ask questions, seek out opportunities to learn and put feedback into practice.

• Build great relationships: you listen to different perspectives, communicate clearly and enjoy working with others to achieve something together.

• Enjoy solving problems: you use data and insight to understand what’s happening, see the bigger picture and make practical recommendations.

• Look for ways to make things better: you bring ideas, question how things are done and think about the difference your work could make.

If you have a 2:2 degree or above, the drive to build a career in Sales, and want to join an innovative, ambitious company that’s passionate about developing future leaders, we’d love to hear from you.

Why join us?

Commercial is where we connect our brands, customers and shoppers. You'll see how customer partnerships, shopper insight and commercial thinking influence what shoppers see on shelf and put in their baskets - and have the chance to walk into a store and see work you've contributed to in action.

Our 24-month graduate programme combines hands-on experience in your placements with exposure to the wider commercial team, helping you understand how a leading branded food business grows in a competitive marketplace. As consumer tastes continue to evolve and demand for bold, exciting flavours grows, you’ll play a role in identifying and unlocking opportunities for growth.

Your experience on this programme will include a mix of:

• Building strong partnerships with major retail customers

• Using data and insight to solve commercial challenges

• Helping shape category, pricing and promotional strategies

• Taking responsibility for your part in new product launches and commercial initiatives

• Creating impactful shopper marketing campaigns

• Identifying opportunities to grow our brands and categories

• Influencing decisions that improve customer and commercial performance

Your reward

• £30,000 starting salary

• £1,500 sign-on bonus

• Discretionary bonus scheme

• Private healthcare

• Structured development programme

• Support from experienced leaders and mentors

• Long-term career opportunities within AB World Foods and the wider ABF Group
