This is a customer-facing onsite role covering both day-to-day support and project delivery across a business-critical order-to-cash landscape.
The successful candidate will work closely with business users, the wider functional team and technical counterparts to keep sales and distribution processes running reliably, while contributing to ongoing modernisation work across the estate.
Key responsibilities
Functional delivery and support
Provide functional support across the SAP SD module, covering order management, pricing, deliveries, shipping, billing and credit management.
Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve incidents within agreed service levels, escalating to SAP via OSS where root cause cannot be established internally.
Configure SD to meet business requirements, and prepare functional specifications for developments handled by the ABAP team.
Support master data governance across customer master, material master, pricing conditions and output determination.
Order-to-cash and integration
Support end-to-end order-to-cash processes, including EDI-based order intake and IDoc processing.
Troubleshoot inbound and outbound IDoc failures, pricing condition errors and interface issues, working with integration and technical teams on resolution.
Understand and support integration points between SD and MM, FI/CO, LE and third-party platforms.
Project and testing involvement
Participate in project workstreams, including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration and cutover support.
Support SIT and UAT phases: prepare and review test scripts, execute test scenarios, and manage defect triage and retesting.
Contribute to change control processes, ensuring changes are properly documented, tested and approved before release.
Stakeholder engagement
Act as the functional point of contact for SD-related matters with business stakeholders.
Run workshops and requirement discussions with business users, and translate business needs into practical SAP solutions.
Coordinate with onshore and offshore team members across time zones.
Documentation and knowledge management
Maintain functional documentation, configuration records and process documentation.
Contribute to knowledge transfer and support continuity within the account team.
