Itero Group is seeking an experienced, hands-on Scrum Master II to support a software development team within a large-scale federal healthcare program. The ideal candidate will bring a practical understanding of Agile methodologies, strong facilitation and delivery coordination skills, and the ability to support a technical team operating within established sprint cycles and quarterly release schedules.
This role requires someone who understands how to apply Agile principles to drive results rather than simply following processes. The Scrum Master will work closely with developers, business analysts, technical leadership, and the Product Owner to remove impediments, maintain delivery momentum, and promote continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
-
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
-
Support a cross-functional software development team operating in three-week sprints with quarterly release commitments.
-
Identify and remove impediments, manage dependencies, and help ensure sprint goals and delivery milestones are achieved.
-
Partner with the Product Owner, technical lead, developers, and business analysts to coordinate priorities, activities, and deliverables.
-
Track sprint progress, risks, dependencies, and team performance using Jira dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools.
-
Coordinate system demonstrations, including preparation, stakeholder communication, and execution.
-
Analyze Agile metrics and identify opportunities to improve team productivity, accountability, and delivery performance.
-
Support project coordination, status reporting, and administrative activities to maintain visibility into team progress.
