Senior Account Executive, Enterprise

Be the one building AI-powered experiences where they matter most.

At Genesys, we help organizations create better customer experiences through AI-powered experience orchestration. Our platform connects people, systems, data and AI to help organizations deliver more personalized service, improve operational efficiency and build stronger customer relationships.

Help build, support and operate technology used by more than 8,000 organizations in over 100 countries – moving AI from possibility to production in real-world enterprise environments every day.

Role: Senior Account Executive – Enterprise, Netherlands

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Team: Enterprise Sales
Reports to: Regional Sales Director / Front Line Sales Manager

The opportunity

Genesys works with a substantial portfolio of customers across the Netherlands, including many of the country’s best-known brands and organizations. These customers rely on our technology to manage some of the most critical interactions they have with their own customers and employees. That makes this role commercially exciting, but it also comes with real responsibility.

We are looking for a Senior Account Executive who combines ambition with credibility. Someone who builds trust, creates pipeline, develops executive relationships and closes complex enterprise opportunities — but who also understands that in our business, you need to walk your talk.

When we make commitments to customers, those commitments matter. Our technology can sit at the heart of customer service operations supporting thousands or even millions of consumer interactions. Overpromising, avoiding difficult conversations or failing to follow through can have a significant impact on our customers — and on the customers they serve.

For that reason, we are looking for someone who is commercially driven, accountable, transparent and trusted by both customers and colleagues. You will take responsibility for a portfolio of established and prospective enterprise customers in the Netherlands, working with recognizable brands and senior decision-makers on customer experience, AI and digital transformation initiatives.

What you will do

You will own and develop a defined portfolio of enterprise accounts, combining expansion within existing strategic customers with the creation of new business opportunities.

You will:

• Develop strong account strategies that identify customer priorities, whitespace and long-term growth opportunities.
• Create and maintain a healthy pipeline through your own account development, executive engagement, partners, BDRs, Marketing and industry networks.
• Build trusted relationships with senior business and technology leaders, including C-level stakeholders.
• Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from early discovery and business case development through negotiation and closure.
• Understand the customer's business before proposing technology, connecting Genesys capabilities to measurable financial, operational and customer-experience outcomes.
• Work closely with Solution Consulting, Customer Success, Marketing, Business Development, Professional Services and our partner ecosystem.
• Orchestrate internal resources around the customer rather than simply managing a sales transaction.
• Develop opportunities around AI, customer experience transformation, digital engagement, workforce engagement and experience orchestration.
• Maintain disciplined opportunity management, forecasting and CRM hygiene.
• Negotiate commercially sound agreements while protecting both the customer relationship and the long-term value of the business.
• Take ownership when things become difficult. Enterprise transformation rarely follows a straight line, and we expect our Account Executives to remain engaged when customers need us most.
• Represent Genesys at executive meetings, customer events, industry forums and partner engagements.
• Consistently deliver against revenue, pipeline and strategic account-development objectives.

The person we are looking for

We are looking for someone who can operate with considerable autonomy. You don't need to be managed through every step of an opportunity. You understand your territory, know where your pipeline will come from and take responsibility for moving the business forward.

Just as importantly, you are someone whose colleagues and customers can rely on.

You communicate risks early, build forecasts grounded in evidence, and set realistic commitments with stakeholders.

What you bring:

• Several years of successful quota-carrying B2B sales experience within enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, CX or another complex technology environment.
• A demonstrated track record of developing and closing significant opportunities.
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales processes.
• The ability to engage credibly with both business executives and technology leaders.
• Strong discovery skills and the ability to translate business challenges into measurable outcomes.
• Experience developing strategic account plans and creating pipeline rather than relying solely on inbound opportunities.
• Strong commercial judgment and negotiation skills.
• Confidence working with partners and navigating a broader ecosystem around strategic customers.
• Discipline around forecasting, opportunity qualification and CRM management.
• The ability to work effectively across an international and matrixed organization.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.

What will make you stand out

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be particularly valuable:

• Customer Experience / CX
• Contact Center as a Service / CCaaS
• Artificial Intelligence
• Digital transformation
• Enterprise SaaS
• Workforce Engagement
• CRM or adjacent enterprise platforms
• Value-based or outcome-based selling
• MEDDPICC or similar enterprise sales methodologies
• Strategic selling through partners and alliances

But technology knowledge alone will not make someone successful in this role.

We are interested in people who are curious enough to understand the customer's world, commercially ambitious enough to create opportunities, and responsible enough to earn the customer's trust. Why join us

This is not a territory where you start with a blank sheet of paper.

You will work in a market where Genesys already has a significant customer footprint and long-standing relationships with major Dutch organizations and internationally recognized brands.

That gives you the opportunity to combine strategic account expansion, AI-driven transformation and new business development within some of the most interesting organizations in the Netherlands.

You will also work alongside experienced Solution Consultants, Customer Success teams, BDRs, Marketing specialists and a strong ecosystem of technology and implementation partners.

We give people room to operate, make decisions and take ownership.

In return, we expect accountability.

We expect ownership and accountability: you stand behind your decisions, follow through on commitments, and focus on solutions when challenges arise.

Bring curiosity, judgment, energy and credibility — and build something meaningful with our customers.
