- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline (fresh graduates welcome).
- Hands-on experience (internship, school projects, personal projects or commercial work) in at least one of the following tracks: Web: React and/or Next.js Mobile: Flutter and/or React Native
- Exposure to both web and mobile is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn or grow in Node.js for APIs and integrations; prior backend experience is preferred.
- Basic understanding of databases and SQL, or strong motivation to learn.
- Familiarity with Git; exposure to Docker, CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) or cloud platforms such as AWS is preferred.
- Interest or experience in IoT, MQTT, real-time dashboards, construction tech, BIM or AI applied to site workflows is preferred.
- Good problem-solving attitude, communication skills, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Spoken and written Chinese and English preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience with smart construction, site safety, industrial IoT, or connected safety systems.
- Knowledge of LoRaWAN, LTE/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, or other IoT communication technologies.
- Experience preparing inspection reports, test records, and as-built documentation.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements.
- Relevant technical certifications in networking, electrical systems, IoT, or project quality control.
Full description
Responsibilities
- Analyse business requirements and turn them into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Design, develop and maintain web and/or mobile applications for our smart construction platform.
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs and system integrations with Node.js.
- Deliver features using either modern web (React / Next.js) or cross-platform mobile (Flutter / React Native) — you do not need both.
- Collaborate with product, field and engineering teams on integrations involving cloud platforms, IoT devices, real-time dashboards and construction management systems.
- Support containerised deployment with Docker and contribute to CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
- Write and run tests; support deployment and production issues.
- Maintain technical documentation and operating procedures.
- Keep learning emerging practices in web, mobile, IoT, cloud and AI relevant to smart construction.
