Senior Backend Developer (POS Team) – Albert Heijn – Zaandam

Wat ga je doen?

As Senior Backend Developer you will join the 'Point of Sale' team within the AH Customer Technology platform. This department is responsible for the development of the staffed and self-service checkouts in our Albert Heijn and AH to go stores. This means you are responsible for more than 13.000 checkouts and 60.000 handheld scanners, handling 17 million transactions per week. When shopping at Albert Heijn yourself, you use your own product every visit. Being an engineer in this team means that your goal is to ensure that our customers are using our product with no hiccups and the fastest and most reliable solution is moved to production. You do this by knowing the ins and outs of our applications and using your experience to reach the best solution together with the other engineers in the team

This is how you will reinvent food retail.

• You design, develop, test and maintain software applications and services using Kotlin

• You translate functional and non-functional requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions

• You take a leading role in technical design and implementation within the team

• You do hands-on development: create proofs of concept, write clean code, implement automated testing, ensure security and code quality, and set best practices.

• An annual salary up to 100K including holiday allowance and a flexible bonus. Depending on your level of seniority and experience;
