About RapDev:
RapDev builds the operational backbone for autonomous IT. More than 1,000 enterprises run ServiceNow and Datadog better because of us — trusted data, connected workflows, and AI that resolves incidents instead of just reporting them.
On the ServiceNow side of our business, we specialize in modern ITOM, ITAM, AI, SPM, and DevOps implementations designed to help organizations engineer their ServiceNow into a powerful AI-driven platform. And on the Datadog side of our business, our experienced team of SREs and DevOps engineers drive better observability, availability, and deployment velocity for organizations looking to drive measurable business impact through their Datadog environment.
About RapDev
We specialize in modern ITOM & DevOps ServiceNow delivery, and implementations & integrations of Datadog across a wide variety of customer environments, from on-prem to the cloud. Our experienced team of SREs and DevOps engineers powerfully bring together these two ecosystems to drive better observability, availability, and deployment velocity across customer organizations. Our engineers gain immense exposure across a wide variety of customer landscapes with constantly changing setups project-to-project.
About the Job
An ideal candidate for this role has operated in one or more roles at a large scale environment as well as a wide exposure to a number of relevant cloud technologies including AWS, Azure and GCP. They should have experience in multiple programming languages with a deep understanding of at least one. Consulting experience and leadership/mentorship experience is also very important, as both the customer and our team will look to you for best practices. A successful candidate will have the ability to think on their feet and respond to customer questions on the fly. Additionally, you’ve used a few different sets of monitoring software and understand how to utilize them in the context of SRE and DevOps principles. You stay relevant and aren’t stuck in old ways; we need to be able to adapt to a customer whether they are using COBOL or the bleeding edge version of something completely new.
What you'll do:
- Understand a customer’s core problem, identify tradeoffs and propose solutions
- Communicate complex technical issues to audiences of various technical knowledge
- Troubleshoot complicated systems with little-to-no context
- Debug code, read source-code, google how to fix issues off the cuff
- Teach the team advanced principles, new technologies, techniques etc.
- Be a key point of escalation for others on technical issues
- Create repeatable patterns using configuration management and documentation
- Maintain a strong desire to be actively involved with the rest of the team and ensure the success of multiple projects
