- You are an exceptional writer and editor with a distinctive voice, from a social post to a long-form report.
- You have a strong eye for design, typography, photography and layout.
- You think strategically but are happy to write the post, brief the designer, and fix the deck yourself.
- You are digitally fluent: social platforms, newsletters, SEO, analytics, and how to measure what works.
- You work fluently with AI tools for content, design and web, and you have changed how work gets done.
- You are comfortable representing the organisation in public, with partners and with the press.
Nice to have
- Experience in climate, sustainability, development or impact organisations.

Full description
Senior Manager, Communications About the client
Arthan is conducting this search in confidence on behalf of a client: a leading climate organisation working across Asia on the philanthropic ecosystem, climate resilience and systems change.
It works with funders, civil society organisations and institutions to move climate action from commitment to delivery, and it is building the platforms that will shape how the region's climate capital, talent and ideas connect. The client's name is shared only with shortlisted candidates.
The role
Asia's climate decade will be shaped by who tells its story well.
As Senior Manager, Communications, you will be the strategist and the voice behind a new generation of platforms: one that convenes the region's senior leaders, one that opens the door to green careers, and an intelligence platform that funders and institutions will turn to for an independent view of where climate capital is going.
You will set the narrative, build the brands and earn the trust of audiences who are hard to impress. This is a builder's role in a lean, AI-first team: you set the strategy, and you also write the post, brief the designer, and fix the deck.

What you will doPlatform communications strategy
- Build the communications strategy for an invite-only platform for senior sector leaders: its positioning, voice, exclusivity cues, first-visit experience and the way it earns trust with the people it invites.
- Build the communications strategy for a green careers platform: its brand, audience journeys from entry level to senior, and the stories that make it the place climate careers start.
- Keep each platform distinct in voice and audience, and coherent as part of one family of brands. Own the brand architecture across the organisation and its platforms.
- Plan launch and growth communications for each platform, with clear audience, message, channel and measure.
Intelligence platform: strategic communications
- Define how the platform is positioned with funders, philanthropic institutions and senior climate leaders, and make its independent point of view credible.
- Set the communications rules for a product that reports on named institutions: accuracy, sourcing, disclaimers and tone, with a clear process for sensitive items before anything goes out.
