About the Role
Join a defense and aerospace hardware team designing real-time electronic control systems for flight vehicles. You will own flight-critical hardware from initial design through validation and integration.
What You'll Do
- Design control electronics boards, including motor controllers, actuator drivers, and feedback and control loops.
- Own hardware end to end, from PCB design and bring-up through debugging, integration, and production.
- Develop microcontroller, microprocessor, and mixed-signal circuits for processing and real-time control.
- Work with guidance, navigation and control, avionics, and flight software teams on system integration.
- Define requirements and make technical decisions across the full hardware design.
What We're Looking For
- Three to fifteen years of experience designing control or power electronics hardware, including motor drivers or actuator controllers.
- A BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience designing, bringing up, and debugging control or power electronics PCB assemblies.
- Experience with analog and mixed-signal circuits for motor drivers, power conversion, or precision control loops.
- PCB design experience from schematic capture through layout. Altium is preferred.
- Familiarity with ARM microcontrollers, embedded hardware, CAN, and tools such as SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink. Experience with DDR, FPGA, or embedded C is relevant.
- Background in a fast-paced hardware environment, with flight hardware or high-reliability experience in aerospace, defense, or automotive a plus.
- U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility. Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
