Senior Creative Strategist (DTC / eCommerce)

Every role in our company exists to drive measurable impact.

We are looking for individuals who take ownership, operate with urgency, and think in terms of results. You will be trusted with responsibility and expected to deliver against clear performance metrics.

Full-time · Remote · 7000 - 10,000 base compensation + uncapped performance compensation equivalent to 1–2% of ad spend

About the Role

We’re looking for a commercially minded Senior Creative Strategist who can turn customer research, market insights and performance data into winning paid-social ads.

You will own the creative strategy cycle—from research and concept development through briefing, production feedback, performance analysis and iteration.

This is not simply a scriptwriting role. We need someone who understands why ads win, why they fail and how to turn those insights into better creative.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Identifying customer desires, problems, objections and buying motivations

• Developing creative angles, hooks, concepts and testing hypotheses

• Writing direct-response scripts and production-ready briefs

• Maintaining a consistent pipeline of new concepts and iterations

• Providing clear, actionable feedback to editors and designers

• Analyzing ad performance and identifying winning patterns

• Turning performance findings into stronger concepts

• Documenting tests, results and creative learnings

• Collaborating with media buyers, editors and marketing leadership

• Taking ownership of creative performance for assigned brands or campaigns

This Role Is Not for You If

• You have not developed performance creative for DTC or e-commerce brands

• Your experience is mainly in organic content or traditional brand marketing

• You write scripts without conducting customer research

• You avoid performance data or commercial accountability

• You rely on copying competitors rather than developing original insights

• You need constant direction to identify creative opportunities

• You struggle to provide clear feedback to production teams

What We’re Looking For

Experience

• At least five years of professional experience in creative strategy, performance marketing or direct-response advertising

• At least three years owning creative strategy for DTC or e-commerce brands

• A proven track record of developing winning paid-social ads

• Extensive experience with Meta advertising and high-volume creative testing

• Experience owning the process from research through analysis and iteration

• A portfolio containing scripts, briefs and finished ads

• Experience collaborating with editors, designers, creators and media buyers

• Experience guiding or mentoring other strategists is preferred

Skills

• Customer and market research

• Direct-response copywriting and scripting

• Creative concept development

• Customer psychology and buying behavior

• Creative briefing and production feedback

• Paid-social performance analysis

• Strong commercial judgment

• Clear communication and organization

• Independent decision-making and ownership

• AI-assisted research, ideation and analysis

What Success Looks Like

After 30 Days

• You understand our brands, customers and creative process

• You can explain why our strongest and weakest ads performed differently

• You produce clear, research-backed scripts and briefs

After 60 Days

• You independently manage the strategy for assigned campaigns

• You maintain a reliable pipeline of concepts and iterations

• You consistently use performance findings to improve new creative

After 90 Days

• Your concepts consistently progress into production and testing

• Your work produces winning ads or commercially useful learnings

• You identify repeatable patterns and turn them into structured iterations

• You proactively identify new growth opportunities

How Performance Will Be Measured

• Share of ad spend allocated to your creative

• Number of approved concepts delivered

• Concept-to-launch rate

• Brief approval rate

• On-time delivery

• Speed of developing iterations

• Quality of documented creative learnings

• Collaboration with production and media-buying teams
