- While doing so, closely work with China business stakeholders, product managers, data scientists, AI engineers and other data architects (global and regional) to define project scope and deliverables and apply best practices.
- Collect & assess functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into technical concepts for data processing, descriptive analysis and AI solutions in alignment with business objectives, user needs, architectural standards and best practices considering robustness, scalability, re-usability, cost efficiency, performance & security & data privacy requirements.
- Manage the integration of different data types (e.g., market sell out data, O2O data CRM data etc.) and sources into unified & reusable data assets.
- Ensure data quality and that data is accurate, complete, consistent, and timely, while maintaining metadata repositories and promoting metadata standards across the organization.
- Lead the process of producing comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams, design specifications, and user manuals and/or review documentation delivered by engineers and vendors to meet our standards.
- Lead and steer external providers and/or internal engineers, guide them as architects to ensure a smooth implementation, provide cost and time estimations, challenge vendor costs and assure quality delivery of implementations & proper handover to support.
- Co-develop and enforce data governance policies and standards while working closely with business units and vendors/data stewards to ensure alignment and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with the cloud platform team to raise requirements for enhancing the technology stack of our global & China cloud-based data, analytics and AI platforms.
