About the Role
PYGIO is looking for a Senior Data Analyst / Engineer to join a client project focused on stabilising and enhancing a newly implemented tactical data and reporting solution following go-live.
This is a 3-month engagement with a strong focus on improving reporting processes, reducing manual effort, resolving operational and data issues, and introducing automation and process improvements.
The role sits at the intersection of Data Analysis, BI Development and Data Engineering, making it a great fit for someone who is comfortable working with both technical data environments and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse existing data, reporting and operational processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve, simplify and automate reporting workflows.
- Reduce manual effort associated with data preparation and reporting.
- Support production reporting cycles and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Investigate data and reporting discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
- Refine, optimise and enhance the existing tactical data solution.
- Improve report quality, accuracy and operational stability.
- Develop and maintain reporting solutions, including Power BI where appropriate.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation activities.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into practical data and reporting solutions.
- Identify functional, data and reporting gaps and implement appropriate improvements.
- Develop automated validation and reconciliation processes.
- Document the existing tactical solution and identify opportunities for future enhancements.
