What the role is
GovTech builds digital products for the Singapore Government. We are hiring a Data Engineer to support NEA's environmental protection and incident response mission.
Environmental pollution incidents can affect public health, disrupt operations, and require rapid coordination across multiple teams. During investigations, officers often need to draw upon data from environmental sensors, weather systems, public feedback, operational systems and geospatial sources to determine what happened, where to investigate, and what actions should be taken.
As a Data Engineer, you will design and build the data foundations that power environmental intelligence, operational decision-making and incident response capabilities. Your work will help transform fragmented environmental data into trusted, timely and actionable information that enables officers to respond faster and make better decisions during environmental incidents.
This is a mission-driven role where your engineering work directly supports environmental protection and public service outcomes.
What You Will Be Working On
You will be part of a multidisciplinary product team building:
Environmental Incident Response Platforms
Platforms that help officers build a common operational picture by bringing together environmental, operational and public feedback data to support faster investigations and decision-making during environmental incidents.
Environmental Monitoring & Intelligence
Capabilities that integrate environmental monitoring systems, sensor networks, weather information, public feedback and operational datasets into trusted and actionable information for officers, analysts and management.
