- Play a key role in the planned implementation of Microsoft Fabric, helping transition existing data workloads towards the new platform.
- Support the existing Microsoft BI environment alongside the modernisation programme.
- Apply dimensional modelling and data warehousing principles to support reliable, scalable data solutions.
- Work closely with the Lead Data Engineer, contributing technical ideas, challenging existing approaches and helping shape engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Deliver engineering work within an Agile environment, contributing to the development of the London Data Engineering team.
Experience Required:
- Strong commercial experience with Microsoft SQL Server, advanced T SQL and stored procedure development.
- Hands on experience developing, maintaining and debugging SSIS ETL pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling and Microsoft BI technologies.
- Experience optimising SQL queries, troubleshooting complex data issues and supporting production environments.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or similar modern Azure data platforms, with previous hands on Fabric implementation experience particularly desirable.
- Ability to take technical ownership, contribute ideas and work closely with other engineers on technical decisions.
