Senior Director, Business Development, Food & Beverage
Build a Water-as-a-Service® pipeline in the vertical our model was made for. Seven Seas Water Group is hiring a Senior Director, Business Development to win new business for iWaaS® (Industrial Water-as-a-Service®), our new industrial division, across the food and beverage vertical. Dairy plants, beverage bottlers, prepared-food facilities, and protein processors are running aging plants, carrying public ESG commitments, and producing some of the highest-strength, hardest-to-treat wastewater in industrial America. All of that points to a plant manager who would rather buy treated water and clean discharge than own a treatment plant. You’ll be the one who makes that case, from first conversation to signed letter of intent. You’ll report to our SVP, Industrial. This is a remote role, with a strong preference for candidates near a major food and beverage processing cluster (Gulf Coast, Southeast, or Mid-Atlantic) or in Houston or Tampa.
Who we are
Seven Seas Water Group (SSWG) delivers more than 20 billion gallons of water a year to industrial, governmental, municipal, and hospitality customers across the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America. Through our WaaS® model, we design, build, own, and operate more than 220 water and wastewater treatment plants, taking on the capital and operational risk so our customers don’t have to. SSWG is a portfolio company of EQT, a global investment firm with more than three decades of experience building essential infrastructure.
What you’ll own
This is a builder’s role. There’s no existing account book to inherit, so you’ll turn a target list of processors and their engineering staff into a live, qualified pipeline through direct outreach, industry relationships, and a real command of what a food and beverage plant’s water and wastewater problems look like. You’ll focus on dairy, beverage bottling, prepared foods, and protein processing, building named-account relationships until you’re the person a plant calls when its water problem becomes urgent.
As deals take shape, you’ll structure long-term offtake agreements, per-gallon service fees, escalators, and take-or-pay floors, that work for both the customer’s balance sheet and ours. You’ll lead commercial negotiation across a multi-stakeholder buying process that includes the plant manager, operations, finance, procurement, and legal, and keep all five moving in the same direction. Once a deal is signed, you’ll hand it off cleanly to our project finance and execution teams, so the deal you sold is the plant that gets built.
You’ll also represent SSWG at food and beverage industry events and trade shows, where the next several years of pipeline get built one relationship at a time.
