Senior Estimator – Danis
Since 1916, Danis has built a reputation for precision, integrity, and delivering complex projects across healthcare, higher education, life sciences, and corporate sectors. We're looking for a Senior Estimator who brings both analytical rigor and collaborative problem-solving to high-stakes projects valued up to $150 million.
What sets this role apart: Our estimating team stays focused. You won't be stretched across unrelated responsibilities—your expertise will be dedicated to creating accurate, defensible estimates from day one, backed by our extensive historical data and self-perform trade knowledge.
The Role: You'll provide estimating services for conceptual and hard bid work across diverse contract types, with a focus on complex commercial and institutional projects.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and estimate requirements
- Develop conceptual, self-perform, hard bid, and GMP estimates for complex projects
- Create detailed quantity takeoffs and man-hour-based estimates using historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis
- Provide risk analysis input, constructability reviews, and value engineering support during preconstruction
- Collaborate with operations teams during bid evaluation and subcontractor selection
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to support all estimate figures
