The Opportunity
This isn't a traditional FP&A role.
As our Senior Financial Analyst, you'll be a strategic partner to business leaders across Editorial, Sales, Technology, Marketing, and other corporate functions. You'll help guide key business decisions through thoughtful financial analysis, forecasting, and planning while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and drive growth.
Working directly with our SVP of Financial Planning & Analysis, you'll have significant visibility across the organization and play an important role in modernizing our finance function. We're looking for someone who embraces technology, including generative AI, to automate routine work, uncover deeper insights, and help Finance become an even stronger strategic partner to the business.
If you're energized by solving complex business problems, influencing decisions, and leveraging technology to work smarter, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Own operating expense budgeting, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis and month-end close for assigned business areas.
- Partner with business leaders to manage budgets, evaluate spending, and provide financial guidance.
- Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Maintain and enhance revenue reporting packages and develop an understanding of the company's revenue streams to support reporting and analysis.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting, dashboards, and executive presentations.
- Build and maintain practical financial models and perform ad hoc analyses to support business decisions.
