Full description
Why this role?
We are not looking for a developer who clears tickets. We are looking for an engineer who understands systems, grasps architecture and puts quality above all else. We have appointed a Tech Lead and are now looking to strengthen the team at senior level.
Someone who:
- Helps build future-proof platforms
- Can see through architecture and improve it
- Can substantiate technical choices with real depth
- Brings calm to complex situations
- Sets the bar higher for themselves and for others

That means:
- The flexibility of a small team
- The clout and security of a large organisation
- Complex, serious projects of real scale
- No corporate “feel” or red tape
What you will do
- Design and build scalable solutions for high volumes of users and interactions
- Think along on platform transitions and stack choices
- Actively contribute to architecture discussions
- Code reviews at a high level
- Structurally improve performance and stability
- Reduce technical debt
- Spar with the Tech Lead and management on technical direction
