Skills
Must have
- 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with strong experience in Python, TypeScript/React, and PostgreSQL.
- Deep understanding of Python and modern web frameworks like FastAPI, with experience building and scaling client-facing applications.
- Strong systems design skills, with a solid understanding of architectural paradigms, tradeoffs, and how to build software that can scale.
- Experience with frontend development, including React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and web components.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of ORMs and their tradeoffs.
- Strong product sense. You think about the user, know how to prioritize an MVP, and can help figure out what to build next.
- You move quickly and like to ship, while still being thoughtful about long-term architecture and maintainability.
- You’re comfortable with ambiguity and can fill in the gaps when there isn’t a clear roadmap. You like to prototype, test ideas, and learn quickly before investing in a larger build.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Experience working with analytics tools or in health tech is a plus.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AWS offerings (EC2, S3, RDS).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog).
- Active participation in design and product discussions.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
