Key Responsibilities
Mobile Development & Maintenance
- Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using modern mobile development frameworks and technologies.
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into responsive, user-friendly mobile applications.
- Integrate mobile applications with APIs, backend services, databases, and third-party platforms.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.
Technical Architecture & Standards
- Design scalable, maintainable, and secure mobile application architectures.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and architecture diagrams.
- Guide decisions around application structure, state management, offline functionality, modularity, performance, and scalability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and proactively manage technical debt.
- Establish and promote mobile development standards and best practices.
Performance & Security
- Monitor and optimise application performance, responsiveness, and stability.
- Implement secure coding practices, including authentication, authorisation, data encryption, and secure storage.
- Investigate and resolve application crashes, defects, and reliability issues using monitoring and analytics tools.
Release & Deployment Management
- Own the end-to-end release process for Android and iOS applications.
- Manage application versioning, build configurations, and deployment environments.
- Ensure consistent release and deployment practices across mobile platforms.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to developers.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party service providers.
- Contribute to software development lifecycle activities, including design, testing, deployment, support, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma in Software Development or a related field.
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline will be advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 6 years' software development experience.
- Proven experience mentoring and guiding developers.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
