Full description
Invia x Travelplanet.pl x Wakacje.pl is one of the largest travel groups in Europe. Every year we help more than 6 million people plan their trips. Behind that sit teams in IT, Product, Data, Marketing, HR, Finance, Sales and Customer Experience, who build the tools and services those travelers use. Whichever team you join, your work shows up in how people plan and experience their holidays.
Your next stop:
Join the team behind Supply Nexus, our group-level booking engine and supply platform. This role leans more toward data, infrastructure, and architecture than pure coding — roughly half your time is hands‑on coding and code review, the other half is research and analysis on data structures and how best to process them in code.
Senior Golang Software Engineer (Data & Infrastructure)
What lies ahead on your journey:
- Split time ~50/50 between coding/code review and research on data structures and processing approaches
- Maintain and enhance Supply Nexus, including the booking engine
- Integrate data and systems from across the business into one unified platform
- Lead the redesign of a legacy service onto a modern platform — from architecture through delivery
- Import and maintain tour operator data feeds, with a strong focus on availability
- Process very large files (hundreds of GB) and structure the data into databases at terabyte scale
- Design indexes for the fastest possible data access
- Handle basic DevOps: CI/CD, deployment, cloud resource optimization
- Improve platform performance, scalability, reliability, and observability
- Build and improve API integrations across all entities
What to pack in your suitcase:
- 6+ years as a software engineer, including 3/4+ years with Go
- Proven experience processing large volumes of data at scale
- Hands‑on experience with relational and non‑relational databases handling large data volumes
- Experience processing very large files and structuring data into terabyte‑scale databases
- Strong, practical SQL
- Experience with distributed systems and multiple architecture types
- Solid data structures knowledge
- REST API and gRPC experience
- Strong collaboration and problem‑solving skills
- CI/CD fundamentals and full software delivery lifecycle experience
- Comfortable navigating legacy codebases
Your extra baggage of experience:
- Redis (or similar)
- Kibana, Grafana
What you will find on board:
- A remote working model, with a commitment to work from the office at least once a quarter
- Opportunities for professional development aligned with current business needs and your individual career goals,
