✨The core mission of the Senior Infrastructure engineer:
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will build, maintain and evolve the compute, storage and container platforms that power Hack The Box across data centers in the US, EU, Singapore and Australia. You'll work at the intersection of bare-metal infrastructure, virtualization and cloud-native tooling — and play a key role in one of HTB's most impactful infrastructure initiatives: the migration away from VMware toward an open-source virtualization and cloud platform.
Core mission: Operate and improve HTB's virtualization and storage stack (VMware vSphere, Ceph, Kubernetes) while helping the team evaluate, plan and execute a migration to an open-source alternative
🏢 Location & Work Mode:
Europe/Greece
Choose between fully remote work across Europe or relocating to our Athens Tech Hub with relocation support.
Fully Remote / Hybrid (2 days in the office, 3 days remote, plus one month of work from anywhere) - If only in Greece: When hiring in Greece, we’re open to candidates from all locations. Those based within 55 km of our Athens office will follow a hybrid work model. For candidates located beyond that radius, a fully remote arrangement is available.
✈️ Relocation
We offer a 10% relocation bonus on the annual salary to support your move.
In addition, you would benefit from a 50% tax reduction on your income as part of the relocation.
We'll support you with accommodation during the first few weeks
Strong Linux systems administration skills (Debian)
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform)
Comfortable working with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana)
Good written communication skills for documentation and remote-first collaboration
Being cyber security-minded is a strong plus
Bonus Points:
Hands-on experience with OpenStack, CloudStack or similar
