Full description
What if the Java platform you helped build supported the transition towards a more transparent and sustainable global economy?
We are representing an international technology scale-up that develops cloud-based infrastructure for environmental and energy-transition markets. Its platform supports complex, data-driven programmes for enterprise and institutional users across multiple international regions.
Following continued European expansion, the business is hiring a Senior Java Backend Developer to join its core product team in central Amsterdam.
This is a permanent product-engineering position where you will:
- Build and develop a complex Java backend platform
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design
- Work primarily with AWS, alongside some Azure-based projects
- Solve challenging data and asset-management problems
- Collaborate directly with an international engineering team
- Help scale technology with meaningful real-world applications
We are looking for someone who does more than immediately start writing code. You will read the requirement, identify what is missing, ask intelligent questions and design a solution that can be supported over the long term.
You will need strong commercial Java experience, sound architectural understanding and the ability to solve problems independently. Experience within SaaS, fintech, regulated technology, energy, commodities or data-intensive platforms would be particularly relevant.
Package:
- Employee share options
- Three days per week in the Amsterdam office
- Two days working from home
- English-speaking international environment
- Dutch is not required
If you are looking for a permanent role where you can take genuine ownership of a core platform and work on technology with international purpose, this is well worth a conversation.
