Senior Java Engineer - Spring Boot/Hibernate

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, and REST APIs.

• Build scalable APIs for product modules, integrations, analytics, and AI-enabled features.

• Participate in technical design discussions with the Technical Lead and engineering team.

• Convert product requirements into APIs, database changes, services, and implementation tasks.

• Integrate third-party APIs and external systems.

• Integrate AI/ML APIs, LLM APIs, Google Gemini, Vertex AI, OpenAI, or similar platforms where needed.

• Implement business logic, validation, error handling, audit logs, and background processing.

• Optimize MySQL queries, indexes, and database performance.

• Write clean, maintainable, testable code.

• Participate in code reviews and support engineering best practices.

• Troubleshoot production issues and support ongoing product improvements.

Required Skills :

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience.

• Strong Java and Spring Boot experience.

• Strong MySQL experience, including schema design, queries, indexes, and performance tuning.

• Strong REST API development experience.

• Experience with JPA/Hibernate.

• Experience integrating third-party APIs.

• Practical exposure to AI APIs, LLM APIs, Google Gemini, Vertex AI, OpenAI, or similar platforms.

• Strong understanding of backend design patterns and clean code practices.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD, unit testing, and Agile development.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have :

• Experience with Angular or frontend collaboration.

• Experience with predictive analytics or workflow automation.

• Experience with queues, schedulers, batch jobs, or asynchronous processing.

• Experience working with distributed teams.
