Senior Learning Experience Designer - EZRA

Job Role: Senior Learning Experience Designer

Location: London (Hybrid 3 days in office)

Who we are:

We believe everyone can be better with a coach... and we won't stop until we get there.

Coaching changes people's lives. It helps them be happier and more productive in their work. It turns entire companies into more inclusive, more productive places to be. That's why we've made it easy for more people – not just those at the top – to benefit from the world's best coaches. This is true of our EZRA team. We believe a happy team is a productive one. We help our people grow, to care deeply about and be proud of what we do.

The Role:

As a Senior Learning Experience Designer, you will design high-quality learning experiences that translate psychological insight, leadership thinking, and coaching principles into practical, engaging experiences that drive behaviour change at work.

This is a senior individual contributor role for an experienced instructional designer who is comfortable working with evidence-based ideas and shaping them into usable learning. You will work with a high degree of autonomy, setting a standard of craft that others in the team can learn from. You will design experiences that scale across clients and contexts, while remaining coherent, relevant, and impactful.

You will sit within EZRA Labs, acting as a design thought partner to EZRA Labs leaders and partnering with colleagues across Marketing, Events, and client-facing teams to bring learning experiences to life across workshops, webinars, events, and other facilitated formats. This role focuses on design, not facilitation. It is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, but you will play a visible part in raising the quality bar across the team through mentoring and peer review.

What You'll Do:

Design Learning Experience

• Own the end-to-end design of learning experiences across formats including workshops, webinars, and event keynotes
• Translate concepts from coaching, behavioural science, and leadership into clear learning objectives, narratives, and activities
• Create learning experiences that are practical, application-focused, and support behaviour change in real work contexts
• Balance rigor with accessibility, ensuring learning is grounded in evidence without becoming abstract or academic
• Take on our most complex or ambiguous design challenges, bringing structure where the brief is still forming

Apply Instructional Design Craft

• Use instructional design principles to structure learning journeys, sessions, and experiences
• Shape narrative flow and participant experience, from framing and context-setting through to application and reflection
• Design learning that is usable, scalable, and effective for delivery by others
• Contribute to shared design standards, frameworks, and reusable approaches that lift the quality and consistency of our work

Support Craft and Quality Across the Team

• Act as a design reviewer for colleagues' work, giving specific, constructive feedback that improves quality before it reaches clients
• Quality-assure learning designs against agreed standards for rigour, clarity, usability, and brand
• Mentor less experienced designers, sharing the craft, frameworks, and judgment you've built through your own practice
• Help shape review rituals and ways of working that make good design repeatable across the team
• Please note: this is a non-managerial role. You will develop colleagues through craft, coaching, and peer review rather than line management

Collaborate Across EZRA

• Act as a thought partner to EZRA Labs leaders, turning points of view, learning blueprints, and ideas into delivered experiences
• Adapt and evolve existing learning designs to suit different audiences, client contexts, and use cases while protecting core intent
• Partner with Marketing and Events teams to support the design of participant journeys for market-facing and client experiences
• Bring stakeholders with you on design decisions, explaining the rationale and trade-offs behind your choices

Work with AI and Emerging Practice

• Use AI tools as part of your design workflow to support ideation, iteration, and development
• Contribute to the evolution of AI-enabled learning and coaching experiences, applying judgment about where AI adds value
• Stay informed about emerging learning practices, tools, and modalities and how they can enhance impact
• Share what you learn, helping the wider team adopt new tools and practices with confidence

About you:

• 5–7 years' experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or a closely related role
• Strong instructional design capability, with experience designing learning for leadership development, coaching, or human skills
• A deep working knowledge of psychological principles and how these translate into effective learning design and behaviour change
• Background in occupational psychology, behavioural science, or a related field is strongly preferred
• Experience applying evidence-based approaches to learning and development in organizational contexts
• Ability to turn complex ideas into clear, usable learning experiences
• Experience reviewing others' work and mentoring or coaching less experienced designers, formally or informally
• Sound judgment and comfort with ambiguity, with a track record of making and justifying design decisions with limited direction
• Comfort collaborating with subject matter experts, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional partners
• AI literacy, with experience using AI tools as part of your day-to-day work

Life at EZRA:

• Your Own World-class coach to help you grow personally and professionally.
• Coaching for Friends and family because coaching is a gift worth passing on.
• Charity Days to support the causes close to your heart - because doing good feels good.
• Learning Budget to fuel your curiosity. If it helps you grow, we're in.
• Weekly Wellbeing Hour just for you. No meetings. No emails. Just space to breathe, reflect, or reset.
• Regional benefits flex to fit your location and lifestyle.
