Our core applications enable insurers to sell and underwrite policies, settle claims, and bill their customers. **The Opportunity
In this role, you will apply core principles from the Google SRE handbook to real-world challenges. You will turn company strategy into clear goals for your team and use a software-first approach to solve complex infrastructure and reliability issues. Your goal is to build and manage a team that keeps our cloud solutions highly reliable.
Why Guidewire
This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven company and make a real impact in the lives of people facing challenges. You'll work with cutting-edge technology, collaborate with talented peers, and grow your skills in a culture that values innovation, teamwork, and work-life balance. We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career development.
If you're a Senior Manager of SRE who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for problem-solving and a commitment to reliability, we'd love to hear from you. Join us in building the software that helps insurers care for their customers when they need it most.
Since this is a senior leadership role, you will not be part of a formal on-call rotation. However, you will need to be available outside of standard business hours (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) for major escalations. Candidates must be willing to accept this responsibility to support the business and our customers.
We are looking for a Senior Manager of Site Reliability Engineering (Application) to lead an EMEA SRE team of 10 to 15 engineers. You will manage a full stack of applications and services in your region and take ownership of the reliability, performance and resilience of the Guidewire Cloud Platform.
**Required Skills
- A foundational background in software engineering, with prior hands-on experience building business applications and systems. You bring a software-first approach and architectural knowledge of systems built in Go, Python, or Java (we are looking for an engineering leader, not a traditional systems administrator).
