Senior Platform Software Engineer

Owns moderately complex components within platform services or SDKs; leads team-level improvements to integration frameworks and developer tooling. Performs deep debugging across a bounded set of distributed services, driving fixes that protect downstream consumers and upgrade paths. Analyzes usage, performance, and error budgets for specific platform surfaces; implements targeted resilience and capacity optimizations. In Generative AI Oracle Agent Platform team, you will build and operate cloud services maximizing state of art generative AI technologies. We are committed to providing the best in cloud products to meet the needs of our customers who are tackling some of the world’s most challenging problems.

You will be part of a team of experienced, hands-on engineers with the expertise and passion to solve difficult problems in distributed highly available services and virtualized infrastructure. As a Senior Software Engineer you will own software architecture and development of Oracle Generative AI Agent Platform Service. You should be both a rock solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, be hands-on and able to dive deep into any part of the stack, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

Our senior engineers are also the people who can work independently and provide technical leadership to the organization. You should have experience developing and operating high-scale services, and an understanding of how to make these cloud-scale services resilient. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and productive; someone who knows how to balance speed and quality with iterative and incremental improvements. You understand operational excellence and know-how to infuse a culture of being proactive within your team. You recommend and justify major changes to new and existing products and establish consensus with data-driven approaches.
