Full description
Senior Product Manager - Platform
Bitwarden empowers enterprises, developers, and individuals to securely store and share sensitive data. With a transparent, open-source approach to password management, secrets management, and passwordless and passkey innovations, Bitwarden makes it easy for users to extend robust security practices across all online activities. Founded in 2016 with headquarters in Santa Barbara, California, Bitwarden is supported by a passionate global community of security experts and enthusiasts.
As Senior Product Manager, Platform at Bitwarden, you will own the foundational capabilities that every user and admin depends on: how people create accounts and sign in, how developers and other systems reach Bitwarden programmatically, and how customer data stays protected. Your scope covers account creation, authentication (SSO, role-based access), the Bitwarden CLI, our public APIs and MCP server, integrations with the business platforms our customers already use, and the security foundations underneath them, such as key management, vulnerability response, and post-quantum readiness. You will partner with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Design to turn these into clear, shippable outcomes, and you will work with Sales and Solutions Engineering to understand how identity and integration capabilities help win and keep enterprise customers. You will use customer feedback, usage data, and competitive benchmarking to inform roadmap decisions, thinking about the end user, the IT admin, and the developer.
This is an all-remote team and we're looking for someone located in the U.S. with no preference for time zone. We do not offer visa sponsorship at this time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the roadmap for account creation and authentication, including SSO, role-based access control, and how users and admins first set up and sign in to Bitwarden
- Own the Bitwarden CLI, public APIs, and MCP server as products, making it easy for developers, admins, and AI agents to work with Bitwarden data securely
- Define and prioritize integrations with identity providers and other business platforms our customers rely on
- Partner with Security and Architecture on platform-wide data protection, including key management, vulnerability response, and post-quantum cryptography readiness, and translate that work into clear requirements and customer-facing value
- Write clear specs and user stories, and work closely with engineering to scope, sequence, and ship features
- Analyze how competitive password and identity vendors approach authentication, developer tooling, and integrations, and identify where Bitwarden can stand out
- Define and monitor adoption metrics, such as, SSO adoption, API and CLI usage, and integration usage
