Full description
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager, Scheduling to own a significant area of Procore Scheduling, our native scheduling solution built into the Procore platform.
Construction schedules are built, shared, and used by many parties, and their tools are rarely connected. General contractors often keep a master schedule in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and plan short-term work in spreadsheets. Owners and specialty contractors receive those schedules but have their own scheduling needs. Procore Scheduling brings them together in one real-time, collaborative platform with a full CPM engine, lookahead planning, third-party imports, and deep connections to other Procore solutions.
You’ll own the in-product schedule experience: how teams view, edit, and collaborate on schedules and lookaheads in Procore Scheduling. You’ll partner with your manager, who leads the broader Scheduling platform and its connections to other Procore solutions, including through AI. You’ll own the customer problems, priorities, and outcomes in your area, spend real time with customers, turn what you learn into clear requirements, and lead product in a tight partnership with Design and Engineering. Your scope is expected to grow as you deliver.
If you want to build software that construction professionals rely on every day and care about getting the details of a complex product right, come join us.
This position reports to the Head of Product, Schedule and is based in Austin, TX. What you'll do:
- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for the in-product schedule experience: how teams view, edit, and collaborate on schedules and lookaheads in Procore Scheduling. Work within the platform your manager owns, and explain the "why" behind your priorities in clear written briefs
- Spend significant time with owners, specialty contractors, and general contractors, including schedulers, project controls professionals, and superintendents, to understand how each plans and tracks work, where schedules they receive from others fit in, and where their needs are unmet. Observe customers using the product in the real world, not just in interviews
- Run discovery independently, using a mix of customer interviews, usability testing, competitive analysis, and usage data, and turn the findings into insights your team and stakeholders can act on
- Write product requirements and acceptance criteria that account for outcome potential, competitive landscape, technical constraints, and user experience, including performance, reliability, and security
- Balance near-term improvements against a longer-term vision, and break larger initiatives into phases that deliver customer value along the way
- Lead your tripod with Design and Engineering, building momentum through influence and respect for each discipline's expertise
