Full description
Salud Healthcare
Salud Healthcare is a tech-forward services organization that helps private practices and provider groups succeed in value-based and alternative payment models. Our in-house platforms, Nexus and Nexo, are central to how we support providers, manage risk and quality, and run our operations. The Product Manager owns the direction of an assigned product area end to end turning healthcare business needs into a clear roadmap and buildable requirements, and deciding what gets built next alongside the business and Software Engineering.
Position Summary
Reporting to the AVP, Software Engineering, the Senior Product Manager owns an assigned product area and connects Salud's clinical, operations, finance, provider relations, and payer-facing teams with the engineering team. You set product direction and priorities: running discovery, defining and sequencing the roadmap, shaping and prioritizing the backlog, writing clear requirements with testable acceptance criteria, and accepting finished work against them. This is a hands-on role you still elicit requirements, map workflows, and analyze healthcare data yourself rather than hand it off. It requires deep healthcare experience: the right candidate already understands Medicare Advantage, value-based care, claims, risk adjustment, and quality programs, and can speak credibly with both business users and engineers. The role is remote.
Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements & Workflow Analysis
- Elicit and document requirements from clinical, operations, finance, provider relations, and payer-facing stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and observation.
- Map current-state and future-state workflows in Lucid (swimlane / BPMN), identifying gaps, manual workarounds, and opportunities to automate.
- Write clear user stories with testable acceptance criteria, business rules, and edge cases that engineering can build from without guesswork.
- Maintain requirements traceability, data dictionaries, and process documentation.
- Create mockups and clickable prototypes in Figma to pin down requirements, test workflows with stakeholders, and align on the design before build.
- Apply design-thinking methods user research, journey maps, and problem framing to make sure we solve the right problem before committing requirements.
Healthcare Data Analysis
- Analyze healthcare data claims, eligibility, encounters, HCC/risk adjustment, HEDIS/quality gaps, and payer files to define data requirements, mappings, and validation rules.
- Write SQL queries to profile data, validate assumptions, and confirm that delivered features produce correct results.
- Support integrations with payers, EMRs, and outside vendors by documenting file specs, interfaces, and data flows.
