Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for a Construction Project Manager who can take full ownership of projects from start to finish—including schedule, budget, subcontractor coordination, and financial performance.

This role requires the ability to operate independently, make decisions under pressure, and maintain control of projects without constant direction. Strong follow-through, the ability to manage multiple moving parts, and a willingness to push issues forward to keep projects on track.

You will work directly with company leadership and have full visibility into project financials and performance.

Take full ownership of project financial performance, including cost tracking, forecasting, and coordination of billing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of assigned construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and financial performance
• Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met
• Work closely with field staff and superintendents to ensure alignment between office planning and on-site execution
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field teams

• Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation using Procore
• Ensure billing is prepared, accurate, and submitted on time by actively coordinating with accounting and field teams
• Identify risks early and take action to keep projects on track
• Maintain strong communication with clients, field staff, and leadership

What Success Looks Like

• Projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Subcontractors are controlled and held accountable
