Position Summary
Dhaka Technologies Limited Company is hiring a Senior Project Manager on behalf of a client, a large county government in Southern California, to serve as the County's lead project manager for its assessor department's enterprise modernization program. The program's primary initiative is replacing a legacy mainframe property assessment system with a modern platform, alongside a data center exit and cloud migration of related applications and infrastructure. The Senior Project Manager represents the County's interests independently of any implementation vendor, and coordinates County leadership, the County technology office, software vendors, consultants, and business stakeholders to plan, govern, and deliver the program while protecting continuity of critical assessment operations. The program is in the planning stage, so the Senior Project Manager will establish governance, the integrated master schedule, and core project controls from the start.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the County's lead project manager, acting on the County's behalf, for the enterprise modernization program, including the property assessment system replacement, the data center exit and cloud migration, and related enterprise technology initiatives.
- Within the first 60 days, assess existing governance, schedules, resources, contracts, risks, and documentation, and deliver an initial program assessment and mobilization plan with prioritized recommendations.
- Establish and run program governance, including executive sponsor and steering committee meetings, decision making and escalation protocols, and action and decision tracking.
- Develop and maintain an integrated master schedule covering County, vendor, infrastructure, data migration, integration, testing, training, organizational readiness, procurement, and cutover activities and dependencies.
