We're seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join the team building next-generation distribution capabilities for our index products. You'll design and build the QA automation platform that validates how index data reaches the global financial community: APIs, cloud data platforms, file-based delivery, and AI-native protocols. Reliability, security, and data quality are non-negotiable, and you will be central to proving them with every release.
The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient, technically excellent engineer who treats test automation as a software engineering discipline. You combine strong expertise in test architecture, data validation, and debugging distributed systems with genuine passion for how AI tooling is redefining quality engineering. This is an individual contributor role where you will lead through the quality of your test design, your engineering standards, and by helping developers to own quality from the start.
AI-First Engineering This team operates with an AI-first approach. We expect hands-on experience with AI development tooling: terminal-based agents, AI-augmented IDEs, and automated workflows. You will use AI to accelerate test design, generation, and maintenance. You remain accountable for the correctness, coverage, and reliability of the tests you produce and for the quality signal they give the team.
What You'll Do
Build and scale a QA automation platform across all distribution channels.
Own API and contract testing to protect client integrations.
Automate data quality checks for file and cloud data delivery.
Run performance and load testing at scale.
Validate AI-native channels, including MCP and LLM output.
Create reproducible test environments and synthetic data.
Embed quality gates in CI/CD and champion shift-left testing across the team.
Tech Stack
Test Automation: Playwright (UI and API), Pytest, Pact (contract testing), k6 (performance and load)
Languages: TypeScript, Python, SQL
Cloud: AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SNS, Aurora, and others as required)
AI Development: Agentic AI tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
Experience We Value
5+ years in QA automation or SDET roles.
Built test automation frameworks from scratch in TypeScript or Python.
Strong API, contract, and performance testing experience.
Solid SQL and data validation skills.
Testing cloud-native systems on AWS within CI/CD pipelines.
Senior QA Automation Engineer, Index Distribution at LSEG (IND-Bangalore-A, RMZ Infinity) — aijobsearch
Hands-on with AI development tooling, using it to move faster without compromising quality.
Basic understanding of financial services or capital markets.
Clear communicator of quality risks and trade-offs.
How We Work
The Distribution team drives the development of innovative and secure products that power our services and meet the evolving needs of our clients. We foster a culture of engineering excellence, solving real-world problems with purpose and ambition. We're looking for skilled and passionate engineers to drive the future of modern solutions working with leading AI development tools.
Build with purpose. Start with why. Define the problem before reaching for a solution.
Customer driven. Work backwards from client needs and build products to address real-world problems.
Technically courageous. Go beyond your comfort zone and push boundaries to deliver excellence.
Learn and be curious. Continuously seek feedback, learn in formal and informal settings, actively share knowledge.
Act as owners. Operate as though it is your business. Make thoughtful trade-offs and deliver long-term value.
Lead with data. Validate assumptions, stay close to the details, act decisively.
Build responsibly, deliver incrementally. Look for the small opportunities and milestones to build ambitious solutions.
AI-native by default. Use AI tooling as a force multiplier, frame problems clearly, validate continually, and own the output.
