Job Description :
As a Software Quality Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through advanced testing strategies, automation, and continuous improvement.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and DevOps to define quality standards, identify risks, and implement robust testing frameworks.
What you'll be responsible for :
- Designing and executing manual test cases to validate functional and non-functional requirements across web and backend systems.
- Performing API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar to ensure robust and secure service integrations.
- Conducting FTP-based validations, including file transfers, format checks, and data integrity across environments.
- Leading regression testing efforts to ensure new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Developing and maintaining automated test scripts to improve test coverage and reduce manual effort.
- Performing database testing to validate data consistency, integrity, and correctness using SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Collaborating with developers and product managers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs and issues using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Participating in release planning and quality gates, ensuring readiness for production deployment.
- Mentoring junior QA engineers and contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.
Tech Stack & Requirements :
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance.
- 5+ years of experience in API testing & API automation testing.
- 3+ years of Database Testing (SQL) experience.
- Proficiency in Python, Robot framework & Pytest.
- Experience with Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud, Jira, and Git/CI/CD.
