Senior SRE owning the reliability, performance, and on-call depth of Globalstar's large-scale monitoring and data platform that tracks the health of its satellite and ground infrastructure. Hands-on work spans data pipelines, observability, incident response, disaster recovery, and infrastructure-as-code, using Go/Java, AWS data tools (S3, Kinesis), and CI/CD/GitOps.

Must have
- 7+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, or closely related discipline, operating production systems at scale
- Strong experience with modern data infrastructure: streaming/event-driven pipelines, large-scale storage, analytical query engines
- Proficiency in at least one systems programming language (e.g., Go, Java)
- Practical experience with observability and monitoring tooling (metrics, logs, traces, alerting) in production
- Demonstrated on-call experience: incident response, root-cause analysis, postmortem writing
- Comfort with infrastructure-as-code and modern CI/CD or GitOps practices
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with NetSuite
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
- Willingness and ability to work after regularly scheduled hours as needed
Nice to have
- Experience operating a data or monitoring platform at large scale (multi-terabyte-per-day or higher)
- Familiarity with multi-region or disaster-recovery architectures
- Familiarity with SQL database queries
- Familiarity with AWS data pipeline tools (S3, Kinesis, Kinesis Analytics)
- Background evaluating and integrating third-party or commercial monitoring/data platform tools
- Experience in industries with high-cardinality sensor, IoT, or infrastructure telemetry
